Museum of Money
Slottsbacken 6, Stockholm, Sweden
About the company:
Not far from the Royal Palace is the Mint of Sweden - one of the oldest museums in the country. Its exposition fully covers the topic of money. Moreover, the history of the emergence and flow of material resources is considered not within a single country, but on a global scale.
The museum was founded by King John III. And all the wealth of exhibits that he managed to collect here is now a national treasure of Sweden. The collection contains a variety of coins and banknotes of different countries and ages. There are also money-serving cowry shells, and ultra-modern credit cards of the current time. The total number of exhibits is more than six hundred thousand copies. Framed by the main exhibition is a collection of various wallets, bank materials, safes and other items related to money.
