T-Centralen Metro Station

T-Centralen metro station is located in the important transport area of Norrmalm, near the train and bus stations. Every day thousands of residents and visitors of Stockholm pass through it, making it the most visited metro station.

T-Centralen metro station used to be simply called Centralen, but it was often confused with the railway station, which had the same name. The solution to the problem was found in 1958, when the letter T was added to the first name of the station.

The exterior design of the station is very unusual and offers passengers to get acquainted with the artistic directions of different eras.

At T-Centralen station, the walls are painted blue and white, and the vaults are painted with blue images of branches with leaves and silhouettes of builders.
