Umea Airport
Description:
Umeor Airport, located next to the city of the same name, has one paved runway with a length of 2,302 meters. It is the second largest airport in northern Sweden (up to 1 million passengers per year).
From Umeå airport you can reach Stockholm, Arlanda, Gothenburg-Landvetter, Bromma, Luleå. The first flight from the airport was made in December 1961, but the airport opened in May a year later.
Umeå has a unique location due to the proximity of the airport to the city center. Over the years, it has undergone a number of expansions and renovations, and in 2008 it was completely renovated. At the moment, the airport employs 500 employees and 15 enterprises.
You can get to the airport from the center by city bus in 6 minutes.
