Festival of Grape Harvesting in Switzerland

Description:

This holiday is almost a visiting card of Switzerland
Every year on the last weekend of September, Neuchatel hosts the Festival of Grape Harvesting - the famous "Wine Festival". Three days of cafes, bars, street wine counters and music bands bring the old town to life and make life more fun and festive.

This holiday - almost the calling card of Switzerland - dates back to 1902. Every year this celebration gathers about 150,000 people. The festival program includes walks in vineyards and wine tasting.

In addition, entertainment for every taste is offered: fair rides for thrill lovers, battles "confetti" for those who know how to keep their mouth closed. Local amateur brass bands play "guggen music". Spectators admire the solemn children's costume procession, the parade of the best European brass bands, the flower procession.
