Bern - ancient city monument
Description:
We will take a tour of Bern, the capital of the Swiss Confederation, one of the most remarkable monuments of medieval construction in Europe, recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Monument.
Historic arcades stretching for 6 km, turned Bern into the longest covered shopping area in modern Europe, protected from bad weather. We will visit unique historical monuments: The Clock Tower with an astronomical clock, where at the end of each hour you can see a small performance, the Bear Moat, in which bears have lived since ancient times, the Cathedral, the Children's Eater Fountain, the Opera House, the Town Hall, the House in which Albert Einstein lived and discovered the theory of relativity here. The Bundeshaus, surrounded by Swiss banks, and the luxurious quarter of embassies remind us that we are in the capital city. We will conclude our tour with a walk through the romantic fragrant Rose Garden, from where we can once again look at the magnificent panorama of the old city.
And after the tour, you can visit the museums: the Paul Klee Center, the Historical Museum, walk along the beautiful embankment of the Aara River, sweeten our impressions of the city with excellent chocolate "Tableron", try fresh beer prepared according to ancient recipes in the Tram Depot or "Berne dish" - visiting one of the cozy Bern restaurants.
