Jungfraujoch Ice Palace
Harderstrasse 14, 3800 Interlaken, Switzerland
Description:
The Ice Palace is one of the most interesting and most visited places in the Swiss Alps. This is the highest railway station in Europe, informally called the "Top of Europe" - its height reaches 3,500 meters. The palace extends over 1,000 square meters. At a depth of 20 meters under the glacier is a hall with beautiful sculptures of animals and other objects created from real ice. This hall was opened in 1934.
The railway station was opened in 1914. There is a souvenir shop near the Ice Palace.
It is recommended to climb this attraction on the first train, which runs at half 7 in the morning, as in the afternoon there are many people and the entrance price is much more expensive.
