Hunigen Castle
Switzerland, Konolfingen, Freimettigenstrasse 9
Description:
Hunigen Castle is located in the town of Konolfingen, belonging to the municipality of Bern in Switzerland. The mansion was first mentioned in the XII century, but the estate, which has survived to this day, was built in the middle of the XVI century on the site of its predecessor.
In 1588, the castle was acquired by local aristocrats, the von Mai family, whose descendants owned Hunigen until the early twentieth century, until it was bought by an evangelical organization. Currently, the castle has turned into a park-hotel with a hotel of the highest class, conference rooms and space for solemn events.
