Schlossberg Castle

Schlossberg, Switzerland

Description:

Schlossberg Castle is a rare remaining castle from feudal times, unlike most castles in Switzerland. The castle was built on the shore of the lake in the XIII century. Schlossberg Castle performed its function as a fortress, protecting the country from enemy invasion, despite the fact that it does not look like a typical fortress.

Today, Schlossberg Castle is immersed in greenery in the summer, but it can be seen driving along the serpentine highway. The castle is interesting as an ancient monument of architecture. Some of its premises have not survived, existing only until the XVII century. At the walls of the castle you can make fascinating photos typical of the area in Switzerland.
