Excursion "In the footsteps of James Bond".
Description:
Between October 1968 and May 1969, most of the film based on Ian Fleming’s novel On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was filmed on Mount Shilthorn in Switzerland. In the script, the mountain is called Piz Gloria. During filming, the current mountaintop restaurant was the main filming location. For the first time in the history of J.K. films. Bonde was set at the scene, not at Pinewood Studios in London.
A mountain range, a rotating restaurant, gondolas and a mountain railway became the film’s impressive scenery. We will see all this during the trip. We'll take the car to the foot of the mountain, take the funicular, and just like in the movie, go up to the top of the mountain.
At the top, everything reminds me of J. Bond. You are waiting not only for the lovingly preserved scenery of the Alpine Hall, now converted into an exclusive revolving restaurant. In addition, under the helipad is now an interactive exhibition Bond World 007. There are not only exhibits and many details used during the creation of the film. After visiting the exhibition, you can perform a mission on a helicopter simulator (just like in the movie) and drive along the bobsleigh track shooting off the villain Bloffeld. And of course, take a picture with J. Bond himself.
Mount Schilthhorn is located in the heart of the Bernese Alps, so the trip to its foot from Zurich (travel time is about 2 hours), from Lucerne (1.5 hours on the way) or from Bern (only one hour on the way!) will run through very picturesque places. Impressions will be guaranteed!
Duration of the excursion: half a day. Therefore, the afternoon can be devoted to excursions in Zurich, Lucerne or Bern.
