Mount Utliberg

Mount Utliberg belongs to the sights of Zurich. It is good in itself, as a resting place for citizens. Moreover, this place has been chosen by Austrians since ancient times, as evidenced, including postcards stored in museums.

The mountain is of particular value because it offers a beautiful view of the city of Zurich on one side and the valleys on the other. To view the surrounding landscape, a special observation deck with a tower is built here.

There is an equipped pedestrian climb on the mountain, but most tourists prefer to use rail transport.

Red wagons regularly depart from the main city station and take passengers to a height of about eight hundred meters. The journey takes less than half an hour.

Today we can say that Mount Utliberg is a large park. It has a lot of signs. In some places there are specially made stairs.

On the same mountain there is a city TV tower, as well as an interesting model of the solar system for astronomy lovers.

In this civilized forest you can find a deer, if you are lucky. The tourist route to Utliberg is popular both in winter and summer. In winter, of course, it is not so warm, but it is great to sled.
