Observation deck on Jungfrau Mountain

Berne Alps, Switzerland

Description:

Jungfrau is one of the most famous mountain peaks located in Switzerland. Its height is about 4 kilometers above sea level. It is the third highest mountain in the Bernese Alps and forms a remarkable trio along with Mönch and Eiger Mountains.

Here is a wonderful observation deck of the weather station "Sphinx", which opens before us an alpine panorama of 360 °, as well as a view of Alech - the longest glacier in Europe and Lake Tuna. Climbing to the observation deck is carried out using a high-speed elevator, which carries about 1,200 passengers per hour, and in 25 seconds overcomes a path of 110 meters.

The site has the shape of a circle, along the length of which there is a small fence for security purposes. Every year hundreds of tourists visit this wonderful place to enjoy unique landscapes. But to climb here, you need to gain strength, as at such a height when vigorously walking in the snow quickly begins to dizzy due to lack of oxygen.
