Swan Square (Schwanenplatz) is located in the old part of Lucerne - one of the most beautiful cities in Central Switzerland. This is the starting point for most city tours. The square is very picturesque, sometimes called the “heart of Lucerne”.
From Swan Square is the most famous bridge of Lucerne, connecting the old and new parts of the city - Capelbrücke (aka - Chapel Bridge), decorated with triangular paintings with scenes from the history of the city.
On Schwanenplatz there are many famous souvenirs, jewelry and watch shops. There are also wonderful pastry shops and cafes, where you can taste a variety of handmade Swiss sweets and the famous Swiss chocolate.
