Lucerne

Old Town Hall

Description:

The Old Town Hall in Lucerne was not intended for meetings of the city authorities, but was built as a shopping arcade. The main shopping shops of the city were based here, and storage facilities were located on the second floor and in the basements. In the XVI century, Switzerland began to experience political restructuring, and city councils began to be created. The trading building was renovated, a tower was added to it, thereby turning into a Town Hall.
