Falls Valley
Description:
You will see very different, impressive and just beautiful waterfalls.
Judge for yourself:
1. Staubach waterfall is the highest in Switzerland, the height of the free fall of water.
2. Trummelbach Falls - a powerful stream punches its way inside the mountain. You take the sloping elevator upstairs. Then, through the hollowed-out galleries, staircases and bridges inside the mountain, you can get close to each cascade of this stunning waterfall.
3. At the end of the valley is the highest waterfall in Switzerland - Murrenbach. Next to it there is a lift to the rotating restaurant, where they filmed one of the series “Bondiana” (remember, with biathletes?). And on the sheer cliffs on both sides of the valley you can see dozens of different waterfalls.
4. After driving along the shore of Lake Brienz, we will admire the picturesque Oltschbach Falls, hanging over the runway of the Swiss Air Force. It is quite possible that we will be able to see training flights-harassment.
5. But we need to get up in the wagons of the geared railway to Reichenbach Falls! We are waiting for the path along which Arthur Conan Doyle sent Sherlock Holmes to meet his death. The place of struggle of detective and Professor Moriarty is marked by a white star on the opposite rock.
Not far from this lift is Aareshlyukht - the gorge of the Aara River. The longest gorge in Europe. If desired, you can walk on the bridges above the river, attached to a vertical rock in a narrow gorge.
6. For dessert, Gissbach Falls! According to many who have seen it, it is the most beautiful waterfall. Under one of its fourteen cascades, you can walk through the gallery and through the water admire the view of the hotel-castle against the background of Lake Brienz.
After a cup of cocoa (or whatever) we return to Geneva.
