Reichenbach Falls – or a Journey on the Paths of Sherlock Holmes
Description:
A kilometer and a half from Meyringen is Reichenbach Falls, which became world famous after it was immortalized by Arthur Conan-Doyle as the place of death of his literary hero - Sherlock Holmes.
Every year, on May 4, many “pilgrims” come here to honor the memory of the great detective. From the observation deck there is a magnificent view of the majestic stream falling down from a height of 120 meters. On the stone wall above the narrow path there is a memorial plaque in memory of Sherlock Holmes.
