Embankment of Lake Geneva
Quai du Mont-Blanc, 1201 Geneve, Switzerland
Description:
The embankment of Lake Geneva is a unique place in its beauty and uniqueness. In addition to the splendor of the lake itself, tourists can observe the fountain, the water area of the port, yachts and the Rhone River flowing from the lake with many bridges. On the opposite side of the coast you can see the snow-covered Alps.
Through the Rhone River, in the place where it flows from the lake, you can walk along the bridge. Under the ground part of this bridge there is a passage, on one side of which there is a rapidly flowing, turbulent river, and on the other - a lake with calm and stationary water.
But the main attraction of this place is the fountain "Jey d'Eau", which is a symbol of Geneva. Everyone admires this huge powerful pillar of water, rising to a height of 140 meters. The ejection rate is approximately 200 kilometers per hour. Falling back into the lake, the water shines a rainbow and showers everything around with millions of splashes.
