Holy Trinity Church

Rue du Mont Blanc, Geneva 1201

Description:

The Holy Trinity Church in Geneva is one of the most popular Anglican parishes in Switzerland. The church is conveniently located in the heart of the city, on Rue du Mont Blanc, between the railway station and the lake and has the traditional look of a village parish church.

The appearance of this parish was provoked by fear of persecution of English Protestants who fled to Europe after the accession to the throne of Queen Mary in the fourteenth century. Despite this, the construction of the church began only in 1853 from the ruins left after the destruction of the walls of old Geneva.

Today, the Church of the Holy Trinity regularly hosts services that are conducted in English, as well as conversations with a priest, Christmas markets are organized, and all religious holidays are celebrated. The church is often visited by people of different nationalities and traditions.
