Because of this, during the life of the Duke, for his own burial in a special tomb-mausoleum, they were allocated the amount of twenty million francs. The city authorities fulfilled the will of Charles Brunswick, and, after his death, a unique mausoleum appeared on the territory of Geneva, which bears the name of the duke buried in it.
