Rue de Vie Grenadier, Geneva, Switzerland
About the company:
The fame of the world famous Swiss watches was, among others, Patek Philippe. It is known for producing the most complex wristwatch in the world. Her wristwatch collection is also the most representative in the world.
The history of the development of watchmaking covers more than five centuries. Without Patek Philippe, it is unthinkable. Moreover, the company continues to actively improve, striving to achieve perfect accuracy of the clock movement. It has introduced many technical innovations in the process of making watches during its existence.
You can find out the details and see with your own eyes numerous and surprisingly beautiful watch movements in the Museum of Watches, which was created and opened in 1989 by the head of the company - Philip Stern. The museum occupies four floors of an ancient mansion, where an incredible variety of clock movements is stored: the local collection makes it possible to trace the entire history of the development of high watchmaking. Behind the windows of the clock seems to reflect a particular era. There are more than a thousand unique masterpieces of a private collection collected by the Stern family.
The exhibits, lovingly collected by Philip Stern and his father, are very curious. And in general, this collection stands out among others, because the creations of Patek Philippe almost approach the ideal.
