Blecheret Airport

Description:

The main airport in Lausanne is called Blecheret or A roport de Lausanne-Bl cherette. It is located literally a kilometer from the city center. As an airfield, this platform began to operate in 1911, and already in the 1930s, aircraft flew from Blecheret to many cities in Switzerland and Europe, for example, to Paris, London, Rome, Vienna, Berlin, Amsterdam, Marseille and Barcelona.

In 1993, the airport was transferred to A roport r gion lausannoise-La Bl cherette, which still manages it. In 2000, the company modernized the runway, which significantly increased the safety of air traffic. Passengers waiting for flights can have a snack at the local restaurant, where panoramic windows allow you to admire the takeoff and landing of aircraft.

Blecheret itself is located near a major highway, which greatly facilitates the life of its passengers, there is also a trolley bus connection to the city.
