Castle of Krak de Chevalier
Description:
Krak de Chevalier is a famous Crusader castle and one of the oldest castles in Syria. Here is one of the preserved fortresses of the Hospitallers.
The castle is located on the very top of a cliff six hundred meters high. The nearest city of Homs is sixty kilometers away. There are buses to the castle.
Inside the castle is a long corridor and countless doors. It will take a lot of extra space to get to the main halls of the castle.
Around the fortress was built a wall thickness of thirty meters with watch towers, one of which is called "Princess".
