Church of the Virgin Mary of the Order of the Ursulines
Description:
Bratislava is a city in which modern construction trends and ancient streets, medieval temples and castles fit perfectly. And the Danube, which is the symbol of the city, its artery, on which the city has long lived, adorns it even more.
Among the temples of Bratislava there is a very small, but remarkable century of its birth. This is the Church of the Virgin Mary. The church belongs to the Order of the Ursulins, a female monastic order.
The mission of Ursulin women in all centuries was one - education, the creation of schools and colleges. This was done by nuns and just parishioners of the Church of the Virgin Mary in Bratislava. Outside, the facade of the church is austere and modest without any frills, the ursulinks simply did not need it. They believed that wealth and adornment should be in the head of a person, in his mind and faith.
