Redouth Palace
Bratislava, Old Town, Gvezdoslav Square
Description:
Redut Palace is the second most important cultural center after the Opera and Ballet Theatre. It houses a concert hall of the Slovak Philharmonic.
The building was built in 1911-1913 in the style of neoclassicism and originally served as a city meeting house (hence the name "Redut" - a meeting room). After extensive reconstruction since 1950, the Slovak Philharmonic was established here.
