On the main square of the city, opposite the French Embassy, stands a monument to a soldier who came to the city with Napoleon's army. According to legend, he was wounded, fell in love with the nurse who cared for him, and stayed in Bratislava. Many believe it is a monument to Napoleon. But it's actually just a private. That once again emphasizes the peculiarity of the city - in history can enter anyone, whether he plumber, soldier or madman.

  • Where is it? At the corner of Rybárska brána and Sedlárska streets, in the heart of the Old Town, near the Main Square.
