Monument to Hans Christian Andersen

Description:
Hans Christian Andersen, a famous Danish storyteller, novelist and poet, visited Bratislava in 1841. In memory of this event, the inhabitants of the city erected a monument that immortalized his image. In addition to the figure of Andersen on the monument there are characters of his fairy tale “The Snail and the Rose Bush”, and Ole Lukoye is located on his shoulder.
