Paparazzi Monument
Laurinska 1, 811 01 Bratislava, Slovakia
Description:
The Paparazzi Monument is the most original structure in the Slovak capital Bratislava. He portrays a clever and sneaky journalist-photographer who closely follows others. The monument has become one of the visiting cards of Bratislava.
The monument is located on the corner of the cafe of the same name, which has an impeccable reputation, and the monument dedicated to the paparazzi only adds to the entourage of this institution. The monument depicts a person with an unpleasant face - this, according to the sculptors, is a real paparazzi.
Interestingly, the image of a curious and ubiquitous journalist from the "yellow press" first appeared in Federico Fellini in his famous film "Sweet Life", where the friend of the main character is just the paparazzi.
