Košice Evangelical Church is one of the most beautiful neoclassical evangelical churches in Slovakia. The church was built in 1816 for Slovak and German Protestants.
The church was designed by Georg Kitzling, who was a court architect from Vienna. During the construction period, Slovaks and Germans were joined by Hungarian Protestants to help buy bells.
From the old church to the new church was transferred an old wooden cross from 1735. The shrine is currently in an active state. It is here that many pilgrims come from all over the world.
