Demyanovskaya caves
03101 Demä novsk Dolina, Slovensk republika
Description:
On a small territory of Slovakia there are 3800 caves. But the Demyanovsky complex stands out among them, as it is the longest among all the caves. It consists of two tiers: the upper tier - the Cave of Liberty, the lower - the Ice Cave.
Perhaps the reason for the popularity of this complex lies precisely in its length, as two kilometers in the Liberty Cave and almost the same in the Ice Cave are available for visits. The duration of the tour is complemented by its convenience, because you can walk along neat paths, thinking only about the beauty of this place and enjoying the bizarre forms of stalactites, stalagmites and karst jewelry.
The Cave of Liberty owes its quirkiness to the river Demenovka, which flows through the cave, forming a beautiful underground lake there. Next to the cave of Liberty is the second cave of the Demyanovsky complex - Ice. It gets its name from the eternal, never-melting ice. Getting lost in the cave labyrinths is very easy, so groups of tourists are accompanied by two guides.
