Description:
This reservoir was built for 10 years, from 1965 to 1975. It was necessary to flood several villages and change the location of the railway line. These sacrifices were not in vain, as today Liptovska Mara is the largest reservoir in Slovakia.
It is actively used by lovers of water bikes, surfing, scooters, swimming, fishing, and recently extreme sports. However, this place will be to the liking of those who prefer a quiet rest to an active one.
The summer holiday on the Liptovskaya Mare has some advantage over the winter, since in the summer months a pleasure boat swims along the reservoir.
