Bohinj: Escape from Civilization

There are no hypermarkets, prestigious restaurants, skyscrapers and hasty bustle, here we all remember that we are just people, a tiny component of the mother of nature, that life is good and life is good.

Arriving at the lake, we will look into the secluded corner of this alpine miracle, to the delight of us, not yet shrouded in inscriptions, “Private property”, “Forbidden entry”, “Privat”, and that this will be preserved we will respect the rules of conduct in the Triglav National Park. If the weather allows us to do this, we will join a lot of fish - beggars who already know where you can easily find a crust of bread and people who are not afraid of swimming in the lake.

There are many stories about Bohin, and even more about its inhabitants: why can’t you tell jokes to a Bohinets on Friday?!

The life of the common man in Bohin has always been difficult - long, long, cold winters, inaccessibility of the territory, lack of fertile land, isolation from the rest of the country, all this left an imprint on the traditions, culture, hard work and character of the Bohinj. This man is hardworking, proud, does not babble and knows why he is dashing, he is used to working and knows his worth. And at the same time, sincerely, like a child, glad to praise the guests and with trepidation and love will wrap you with homemade sausage, ham, cheese, cottage cheese, honey, homemade liquors, and before that you will be pampered with a deliciously prepared lunch from products grown on your farm.

It doesn’t matter if the weather is good or bad, you will love this part of Slovenia and remember your time here with warmth.

Of course, I did not describe in detail what wonderful places we will visit, how much interesting you will learn ... and this is understandable, because we need to leave something for the mystery that we will guess together.

The program I described usually takes eight hours.
