The tour begins with a visit to the Alpine Pearl of Bled, which with a glacial lake, a legendary island in the middle of the lake, with thermal springs and a mild mountain climate has attracted many cosmopolitans for centuries. It is no coincidence that here was the summer residence of the Yugoslav ruler Josif Broz Tito. We will visit the castle, which is located on a steep cliff, at an altitude of 130 m above the lake. Today, the castle houses a local history museum, a medieval printing house where you can print a postcard in memory, a rare variety of Slovenian wine is sold in the wine cellar. After exploring the castle, a trip in traditional boats to the island on the lake, a tour of the church with a wish bell and an archaeological exhibition will follow. On the shore of the lake we will enjoy the local specialty - cake "bled rubber". Russian sounds not very appetizing, but it tastes great! In summer, you can swim in the crystal water of the lake, warming up to 23 ° C.
Blaiskey Gorge Vintgar is a few kilometers away from Bled. This natural nature reserve located between the rocks and cliffs between which the mountain river Radovna flows, is a piece of untouched wildlife.
You should walk through the charming town of Radovlitsa - full of architectural monuments. In 500 years old house you will get acquainted with the tradition of making pranics, which can be bought in the workshop.
