From the city center, we sail to the Ljubljana Barrier Reserve, which begins just a few steps from the last city streets. Once 6,000 years ago, primitive people lived here: their huts stood on stilts above the swamp, but they knew the wheel that we found here and is the oldest abandoned wheel in the world (5300 years). And nature is a very picturesque, atmospheric terrain, a unique interweaving of meadows, fields, canals - home to many plants and animals that are rare in other parts of Slovenia and Europe. On the shore of Ljubljanica, away from the bustle of the city, we moor a boat at will and try traditional cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere of a family restaurant.
