National Museum of Slovenia - following the footsteps of archaeology before the Middle Ages

Description:

The National – People’s Museum of Slovenia was established by the Kranj regional authorities in 1821 during the congress of the Holy Union in Ljubljana and is the second museum founded throughout the Austrian Empire. The museum is the oldest Slovenian museum institution. First of all, we will look at the top 11 exhibits from different eras and will complement the list of Slovenian antiquities, and not the most ancient, only in Slovenia, but all over the world - in our museum we keep a bear bone squeaker, which Neanderthals played about 60,000 years ago. The famous "your situation" from Vače, etc. On the tour, we will not “invent” only valuable artifacts, we will look for traces of ancient settlements and cultures... why people stopped here 6000 years ago, then the Celts, Romans, Lombards, Goths, Franks, Huns, Slavs – on such a small site among Europe.
