You are offered a water excursion on a kayak on a green river with seven names - Ljubljanica and the charming, mysterious river Iščice. If you have never had to row before, we will first show you the basics of rowing. And the beauty of wildlife at the threshold of civilization the river will show you.
Rowing in Ljubljanica is a kind of safari, where you can always watch animals in the water and on the bank of the river. And if the calmness and freshness of the river water lures you to swim, please! You will neither be the first nor the last.
By kayaking, we will reach the very threshold of the capital of Slovenia, where the last suburban streets overlook a peculiar area - the Ljubljana bar. On an area of more than 150 km2 there are swampy meadows and fields, demarcated by a wild hedge, small reclamation channels are laid and winding rivers flow. Located near the ring road flat landscape, tourists passing by, does not cause much interest. What is so special about the area so close to the city? But a river walk through this area will reveal its special secrets. The calm sliding of the kayak, the light sound of oars, the fresh smell of greenery, the singing of birds, fish in the water and the slow flow of the river will certainly fascinate your thoughts.
To participate in a water walk, you need: light clothing and shoes that correspond to weather conditions, a means of protection against insects, a headdress, a bathing suit, spare clothes and mines. A litre of energy drink. We also recommend light gloves and a towel.
Route: on the river Iščice from Hauptmanz to the river Ljubljanica and on it to the Three Bridges. End of the water tour at Livada pier. For an additional fee, we offer to take you to the starting point of the tour. From the end of the excursion to the city, you can walk along the Ljubljanica River (1 km).
The excursion is held in the period from April 15 to October 15 The duration of the excursion is 2-3 hours.
