Miramare Castle, a miniature castle in the Scottish style, is located above the Adriatic Sea. Miramar was built in 1860 by order of the Austrian Archduke Maximilian. The white, chicly decorated building of the castle looks romantic among the luxurious green park. Here grow trees from all over the world: Spanish fir trees, Lebanese cedars, American sequoias and cypresses, many tropical plants.
