Fountain of the Three Carniola Rivers
Ljubljana, Republic Square, in front of the Parliament building
Description:
In the center of such an exhibition as the Fountain of the 3 Carniola Rivers, 3 water gods are noticeable, they embody 3 Carniola rivers - Ljubljanica, Sava and Krka. The base is created in the form of a shamrock. It was chosen not by chance, but from the pages of the history of the city. The shape of the shamrock had an ancient seal of Ljubljana. The architect Robb felt that this precedent should be preserved in the memory of the city residents.
In 2006, the original fountain was moved to the National Gallery, and an exact replica was installed on the City Square.
