National Museum of Modern History

Celovska cesta 23, Ljubljana, Slovenia

About the company:

The Museum of Modern History is located on the northern edge of Tivoli Park, which covers an area of five square kilometers.

There are eight expositions in the museum, but they are constantly replenished and expanded. The first of the expositions is devoted to the First World War of 14-18, the next two cover the 20s and 30s. The expositions of 1941-1945 and 1945-1960 tell about the participation of Slovenes in the Great Patriotic War and the subsequent creation of a new communist society. Three more exhibitions cover significant and interesting historical events up to 2008. The museum also has two temporary exhibitions: Underground Images from New York and Overseas Combatants.

Every first Sunday of the month, the museum can be visited for free, and the price for an entrance ticket ranges from 1 to 3.5 euros: the cost depends on the age and social status of the person who wants to see the exhibition.
