Ljubljana Railway Museum
Parmova 35, Ljubljana, Slovenia | Kolodvorska 11
About the company:
The Railway Museum provides visitors with comprehensive information about vehicles from different periods of the city and country. The museum was founded in the 1960s, and since then it has evolved into a small but very informative museum housed in a former boiler room on 35 Parmova Street.
The central building features some collections of steam engines and other vehicles. In the rooms of the museum you can see nine types of railway tracks of different periods, hand tools and accessories, etc. One hall of the museum is dedicated to the main devices for transmitting messages: there are telegraphs, telephones, teletypes, shortwave and FM radio stations, devices for recording telephone conversations, etc.
The museum is open on all days except Monday, from 10 to 18 hours.
