Description:
It was originally an estate with a church and a cemetery. In the sixteenth century, the building was expanded and ennobled - so Bentava became a full-fledged estate. In front of the main facade is an English park. They belonged to different noble families. The Herberstein family, Ursini-Rosenberg.
Bishops from Maribor in 1863 made a summer residence from the estate.
Guided tours are organized, and on Monday they are free.
It is worth paying attention to the museum collection in honor of the influence of Bishop Anton Martin Slomsek.
