Indian Lotus Lake

The lake of Indian lotuses is included in the TOP attractions of Slovenia. It is located in the city botanical garden. Here, the necessary temperature is constantly maintained so that lotus plants can grow and delight visitors. Pink huge flowers are so beautiful that you can not take your eyes off them. Tourists are happy to take pictures in front of them. A rare species of lotus grows here. At sunset the flowers close and hide in the foliage. The lake is home to rare species of turtles and fish, which can also be seen. The warm climate allows the lotus to feel comfortable even in winter. Located in the center of Šmarješke-Toplice, you can reach it on foot or by taxi. From other cities – by bus or car.
