Vietnam War Veterans Day in the United States

Description:

Military Memorial in Washington
During the Vietnam War, the United States lost between 56,000 and 58,000 people. After its completion, another 129,000 veterans died as a result of stress and suicide. Estimates of Vietnam's losses in this war range from 2 to 3 million.

On January 27, 1973, a ceremony was held in Paris to sign a quadripartite agreement to end the war and restore peace in Vietnam.

In 1973, the withdrawal of American troops and their allies from South Vietnam was completed. On March 29, 1973, the last American soldier left Vietnam. That is why Vietnam War Veterans Day is celebrated on this day.
