North Pole settlement
north Pole, Alaska 99705, United States
Description:
15 miles south of Fairbanks is the North Pole. Of course not the real one! This is a small village of North Pole - a friendly and hospitable place. Despite its name, it is not even on the Arctic Circle.
But there is a very serious reason why it is worth visiting here - this is where Santa lives, or rather, spends time before Christmas, and it is here that thousands of children write to him.
In a small town, the theme of Christmas and Santa Claus is found at every turn. Per capita there are so many Sants, elves, and sweet lollipops that it is hardly possible anywhere else in the world.
In North Pole, you can walk along the Alleys of Santa Claus and Snowman, walk along the Holiday Road! Even the mayor's office is decorated in Christmas style.
Every year, the city post office receives thousands of letters addressed to the good wizard by children from all over the world. I must say that there are a large number of volunteers among the local residents who try to answer every letter that comes.
Christmas always reigns in the air of this cozy town.
