Grand Canyon
Description:
A deep cleft snakes across Arizona for more than four hundred kilometers. The Canyon owes its appearance to two rivers - Colorado and Walpay, which for many millions of years permeated the sandy rocky land of the plateau. In the architecture of ornate walls took part and the wind polishing their surfaces. Many rocky rocks, layers opening as the Canyon is formed, fill it with all sorts of iridescent shades.
You can enjoy fantastic landscapes by visiting one of the greatest reserves in the United States - Grand Canyon National Park. The area of the park occupies almost five thousand square kilometers. The most visited area is the southern edge of the Canyon, where the most popular viewpoints are located.
Observing the entire Canyon, stretching from horizon to horizon, of course, is impossible. Previously, those wishing to see the panorama of the Grand Canyon on a large scale had to fork out for a helicopter tour. Architecture came to the aid of nature: in 2007, a completely transparent bridge was opened over a 1220-meter abyss, which offers a truly breathtaking view.
