Piedmont Park
Description:
Piedmont Park in Atlanta is located about a kilometer and a half northeast of the central part of the city. Over the years, this city park is not only one of the favorite vacation spots for locals, but also the sports center of the city.
The park was opened in 1895, and since then it has been equipped not only with indoor picnic venues, but also baseball grounds, where regular matches for the state championship among university teams, tennis courts, two football fields, two beach volleyball courts, a swimming pool and treadmills are held. A large number of lovers of walking, running, cycling and roller skates regularly gather here. Picnic lovers are offered covered tables and barbecue bars. Of course, the administration of the park took care of the children: as long as adults drink beer, making sure that the meat in the barbecue is roasted properly, or watch sports, children can relax perfectly in specially equipped areas.
Entrance with dogs to the park is allowed, but owners must keep their pets on a leash and remove their products in a special package. In the southwestern part of the park there is a large clean lake in which swimming and fishing are allowed.
