Coral Castle
28655 South Dixie Highway Miami, FL 33033
Description:
Coral Castle is a complex of statues, sculptures and megaliths created by Edward Leedskalnin. The peculiarity of the place is that only one person worked on its creation without the help of any tool.
Having emigrated to the United States from Latvia, Edward first wandered around various states, but the progressive form of tuberculosis forced him to settle in Florida, where the climate was suitable for him. Here he began to build his creations from lumps of coral limestone. Little and weak Edward, without a single tool, built a two-story tower, walls, an underground pool, and carved many other coral products. Since he was a secretive person and did not allow anyone to watch him work, so after his death, people surprised by the creations of the sculptor tried to unravel his secret. Hypotheses have appeared about Edward’s control of cosmic energy flows, communication with UFOs and possession of the secret of magnetism, but no one is confident about solving his secret.
