Waimea Canyon

Waimea Canyon State Park, Kauai, Hawaii

Description:

Waimea Canyon was formed as a result of volcanic failure and the subsequent flood of the Waimea River, which washed the canyon in Waialeale Mountain. You can find the canyon on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Its length exceeds sixteen kilometers, and the height reaches nine hundred meters. Because of its resemblance, Waimea Canyon is often compared to the Grand Canyon of Arizona.

There is a well-developed tourist infrastructure around Vaime Canyon. The natural park adjacent to the canyon is a favorite place for tourists to make hiking or long hikes. Anyone can get a map of hiking routes and go to the depths of the park to meet adventures.

It will be useful for those who travel by car to know that forty miles before the park all gas stations run out.
