Horsetail - Fire Falls
El Capitan, Yosemite, California
Description:
Horsetail Fall is a beautiful and at the same time frightening waterfall that is located in the National Park of California - Yosemite. It is located, more precisely, on the eastern slope of Mount El Capitan. It is two descending from a height of about 480 meters of water flow. The total height of the waterfall is 650 meters, the most successful place to shoot is the northern road leading to the Yosemite Valley, east of Mount El Capitan.
Only a few days in February here you can see a rare phenomenon – the reflection of the rays of the sunset in the falling stream of the waterfall. The waterfall becomes fiery orange and this creates a complete illusion that streams of hot metal flow from above. What looks like red-hot lava flowing from the top of the mountain is actually an amazing visual deception of nature itself - the rays of sunset hitting the waterfall. It is by this time that photographers and travelers gather near El Capitan Mountain to capture this natural wonder.
