The fame of this desert was given by the famous Death Valley located here. Lifeless salty landscapes resemble the surfaces of distant planets and despite the sometimes unbearable climate attract thousands of tourists.
Death Valley is a narrow strip of desert that is sometimes referred to as Earth’s hell. The local climate is famous for the highest temperature on the planet at +58 degrees. The Indians called these places "Burning Land" and were not far from the truth. Since July, such a heat descends to the ground that insects do not fly, fearing to burn their wings, lizards turn on their backs, protecting burned legs, and a person without regular consumption of one liter of water per hour thickens blood and within a few hours may die from dehydration.
Otherwise, the Mojave Desert is not so cruel. Every spring, its desert plains are covered with a colorful carpet of flowers, despite the minimal rainfall. Here grows acacia and wormwood, as species of palm trees and several narrow-leaved shrubs.
