Yosemite Falls
USA, California, Yosemite National Park
Description:
In the Yosemite Valley there are quaint mountains, strange stone columns and canyons, amazing valleys, many lakes and rivers. There is also a waterfall known far beyond the national park and the country. It breaks off a sheer cliff in the eastern part of Mount El Capitan and fascinates tourists with its scale and beauty.
This is a seasonal waterfall that can be found only in winter and spring. Most of the year it looks like two small streams of water that barely reach the ground. At the beginning of the year, its height is 630 meters, and two streams of water are ejected from the cliff with incredible speed. Within a radius of tens of kilometers you can hear the noise of the waterfall.
At a certain time in February, masses of water turn into a stream of fire or red-hot lava. The sunset paints the streams of water in orange and red shades, making the incredible seem possible. The waterfall gained worldwide fame thanks to climber and photographer Galen Rovel, who accidentally caught the moment when the waterfall was painted in a piercing orange color. Since that time, millions of tourists have been eager to photograph the fire Horsetail, but all the time forget what time of year and from which side you need to stand to capture the miracle.
