Los Angeles Museum of Art
5905 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036
About the company:
The Los Angeles Museum of Art is located downtown on Wilsher Boulevard. Work on the construction of the museum began in 1910. The main idea of its creation was to create a place that would go down in history as a scientific and artistic center of Los Angeles.
But only in 1961 the museum opened as an independent institution, and in 1967 its three main buildings were built. In 1986, the building of contemporary art was opened, which later directed the museum to develop this direction. In 1988, the Bruce Goff Pavilion for Japanese art was opened.
The museum is visited annually by more than a million people, and its collection consists of more than 100,000 exhibits. The expositions of the museum cover almost all epochs of human life. The museum is particularly proud of its collections of Asian, Latin and Islamic art. The museum features works by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, John Baldessari and other authors.
The museum also features collections of American art, ancient art, Korean and European art.
